The CTM Altronmercato organic chia seeds are tropical plants originated from Peru. Our partner CTM Altromercato cooperates with the villagers to plant these organic chia seeds on the uncontaminated soil on the 1800-2800 metres high Andes in South Peru.

Rich in Omega-3, phosphorus and dietary fibre, intaking around 10g of chia seeds per day can supply us with a sufficient amount of Omega-3 needed for the day. The Omega-3 fatty acids regulate the blood cholesterol level, reducing heart arrhythmia and arteriosclerosis, while phosphorus helps in maintaining normal metabolism.

It can provide us with a plentiful of nutrients such as calcium and Vitamin C if serve with our organic baobab powder

*21.7g of Omega 3 (ALA) per 100g of chia seeds
Product from Peru

Usage: Can be eaten as a whole. You can also add 4-5 times of water and wait for 4 hours (or to freeze overnight) until it inflates like a jelly. Moreover, you can add into and serve with milk, juice, yoghurt, breakfast cereals, salad and other dishes. You may also use it as one of the ingredients when making bread and pie etc.
